ナザリック地下大墳墓の第五階層「氷河」の一角に 佇むメルヘンチックな二階建ての大きな洋館、 「氷結牢獄」の一室に住まう領域守護者、ニグレド。

ナザリック内でも最高位に近い位置に座す高レベル NPCであり、情報収集などの調査系に特化した 魔法詠唱者である彼女は、タブラ・スマラグディナを 創造主とするアルベドの「姉」である。

長い黒髪や黒の喪服。 真珠のような歯や、きらめくような瞳等は 単体で見れば美しいのだが、創造主の ホラー映画愛好者という面を強く体現しており、 顔には本来ある筈の「皮膚」が無く剥き出しの 筋肉が長髪の隙間から見え隠れしている。

ナザリック内では珍しく、人間に対する優しさを 見せる事のあるNPCだが、その優しさが向けられるのは 赤ん坊のみ。二歳を超えた辺りから愛情は失せ、 処理すべき肉塊へと変わってしまう。

彼女の部屋に入室する際には狂乱じみた 母性と相対する「演出」を乗り越えなければならない。

手順を誤れば、巨大な鋏を持って襲いかかる彼女と 戦う羽目になるが、その一連の流れさえ越えれば、 茶目っ気もある優秀な魔法詠唱者の協力を仰げる事と なる。遺失物の発見や特定人物の監視など、 ニグレドが影で役立っている場面も多い。

部屋に腐肉赤子の泣き声が響く時。 ニグレドの活躍は始まる……。
